2008 Stanford Cardinal Football Wagering Preview
Strengths
The Cardinal returns nine starters on the defensive side of the ball, including NFL-bound junior linebacker Clinton Snyder, though the defensive secondary is a bit of a concern. Still, the defense is by far, the strongest entity for the Cardinal at the moment.
Weaknesses
Quarterback could be a problem if Tavita Pritchard, who led the team to the victory over USC, isn’t ready for a full, prime-time season, not to mention the fact that Stanford lost three big-time receivers following last season. Thankfully, All-American wideout Brandon Gibson is back. Still, expect this unit to struggle at least in the early going.

2008 Analysis
The Cardinal have a tough schedule with seven road contests that make equaling last season’s 4-8 record extremely difficult, despite the clear progress Harbaugh made with this team last season. Expect the Cardinal, a team that also failed the BetUS NCAA Football online sports wagering community on a regular basis last season, to flirt with a .500 record all season long.
