NFL Betting: Vikings
vs. Giants
This is the time of year, six games left
in the season, when the venerable New York
Giants begin to play more like the New
York Pee-Wees and get hammered by bad teams
like the Minnesota Vikings.
Because both
teams are beset with injuries, it makes
more sense to go with the Giants. They’ve
won more games, losing only once in their
last 8, and have the much better quarterback
and defensive line.
No reason for Eli Manning not to light
up the scoreboard against this sorry bunch
of pillaging wannabees.
This NFL betting trend sort of speaks
towards that happening:
The New York Giants are 6 and 2 against
the spread in their last 8 games.
So, the Giants
have been hot lately. That’s
what this trend says, but what does it
actually mean? Sure, 6 and 2 is good and
is a sign that a team is on a roll, but
these Giants - - there’s just something
about them that makes me feel uncomfortable
from an NFL wagering stand-point.
I don’t know what it is, and I don’t
have a whole lot of reasons why. Maybe,
it’s the return of Adrian Peterson
on the Vikings’ side. Or, maybe it’s
the fact that Jeremy Shockey is still the
most overrated player in the NFL. Or, maybe
it has something to do with my belief that
Tom Coughlin just can’t be this lucky.
I’m not sure what the deal is; I
just know that I can’t recommend
a wager on the New York Giants this weekend,
giving up 7.5 points against a sorry ass
Vikings’ team.
I can’t
because even though the trend says Giants,
I feel Vikings.
Maybe, there’s
something in the water.
The BetUS football betting line is New
York Giants - 7.5 against the spread at
home versus the Minnesota Vikings.

I’m
taking the Vikings and testing this feeling
I have. I hope it doesn’t
turn into nausea at the end of the game.
