NFL Betting Trends - Titans (6-4) at Bengals (3-7)
The Tennessee
Titans, (5-5 ATS, 3-7 O/U) have lost
two consecutive games – and
five of their last seven – heading
into today’s showdown against the
Cincinnati Bengals, (4-6 ATS, 6-4 O/U)
who have been absolutely abysmal since
opening day.
Tennessee’s
normally stout defense has allowed 166
yards to their opponents in each if the
last two losses and now sit two games
behind AFC South leaders, Indianapolis
and in danger of falling out of playoff
contention in the tough AFC.
The Titans have given up an average of
31 points per game in their last two contests
after limiting opponents to 15.5 points
per game in the first half of the season.
Despite their defensive problems, quarterback
Vince Young turned in one of his best performances
as a pro against the Denver Broncos last
week, throwing for 305 yards and adding
another 74 on the ground.
The Cincinnati Bengals have been plagued
by all sorts of problems on both sides
of the ball this season, with their normally
high-powered offense not being able to
overcome the defenses many lapses this
season. Last week against the Arizona Cardinals,
quarterback Carson Palmer threw a career-high
four interceptions, including two that
were returned for touchdowns.
Cincinnati’s
defense is ranked an atrocious 30th,
allowing 369.6 yards and 28.6 points
per game to their opponents.

Analysis:
I think this pick is as easy as pie NFL
bettors. The Tennessee Titans, despite
their recent ailments, are clearly the
better team here and veteran head coach
Jeff Fisher will make sure his players
understand the importance of getting this
win. Take the Titans to win this game by
at least a field goal and continue the
Bengals’ spiral into mediocrity.
