Bet on NFL - Steelers Have the Stuff to Take Down Patriots
The New England
Patriots have managed to escape losses
in each of the last two weeks for varying
reasons, first the Philadelphia Eagles’ own mistakes doomed them
two weeks ago before the league and officials
prevented the Patriots from losing to the
Baltimore Ravens with several strange calls
at the end of last week’s contest.
This week, the Patriots will face a team
in the Pittsburgh Steelers that can certainly
beat them even if no one is really talking
about it.
As Steelers
head coach Mike Tomlin succinctly put
it, "The New England Patriots
are a very good football team, to say the
least, but this isn't Appalachian State
against Michigan."
All posturing aside, the Patriots have
shown some chinks in their armor, particularly
on defense the last two weeks, after allowing
an average of 383.5 yards against Philadelphia
and Baltimore.
The Patriots
may not be so lucky against the Steelers’ top-ranked
defense which has allowed the fewest
points, total yards and passing yards
in the NFL this season.
The Steelers are looking for their third
win in a row against the Patriots and their
No. 1 ranked offense, led by quarterback
Tom Brady.
The Steelers also have a fine quarterback
in Ben Roethlisberger who has 25 touchdown
passes this season and an outstanding 102.9
quarterback rating, good for third in the
league.
The Steelers also have the AFC's leading
rusher in Willie Parker who has gained
1,093 yards coming into this matchup. The
good news for the Patriots is that Parker
has been held under 100 yards the past
three weeks, averaging just 3.0 yards per
carry during the span.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, are ranked 14th
in overall offense, averaging 332.0 yards
and 24.7 points per game while the Patriots
are ranked third in overall defense, allowing
289.2 yards and 17.4 points per game. The
Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 24-10
last week.

Analysis:
Maybe it’s me, but I am
amazed that the Steelers are such heavy
underdogs, particularly after seeing how
the Patriots have played the last two weeks
despite escaping with victories. I think
this game is an absolute ‘no-brainer’ NFL
bettors. Not only are the Steelers going
to cover the 10.5-point spread, but they
are also gong to hand the Patriots their
first loss of the regular season.
