NFL Betting - Panthers Welcome Road Seahawks
The surprising Seattle Seahawks have been
very kind recently to their football betting
backers. They have won ten straight and
have covered in each of those contests,
making some people a load of cash from
the BetUS sportsbook in the process. Open

some coin this very weekend betting on
football, and winning.
Seattle Seahawks –9
at Carolina Panthers +9
As per usual, hopes were high for the
Carolina Panthers at the start of this
2007 NFL betting season. As has been the
case lately, however, injuries and other
factors have reduced the Panthers to a
disappointing afterthought. They have won
just one home game in the past calendar
year, that being to the lowly San Francisco
49ers. After being routed 37-6 on the road
at Jacksonville last week, will this team
be able to pull themselves up off the mat
and give the Seahawks a game?
Seattle is not known for being road warriors,
but they have played a respectable 5-5
SU in their past ten road games and, considering
the troubles in Carolina, this game should
be a breeze for the fourth-straight-season
NFC West champs. They are now a pass-first
team, which makes Maurice Morris a better
running option than former league MVP Shaun
Alexander.
Where Alexander
seems to have lost as much heart as he
gained in money with his new contract
last season, Morris is giving his everything
to try to become the number one back
in Seattle. Don’t expect
Seattle to do the same damage as the Jags
did last week against the Panthers, when
they gained 178 ground yards, but the fact
that the Seahawks will be able to establish
themselves early will open up passing lanes
and easy completions for quarterback Matt
Hasselbeck and his receivers.
Speaking of Hasselbeck, with the running
game having taken a bit of a fall this
season as compared to recent years past,
he has taken this team by the reins and
is mastering the West Coast offense installed
by coach Holmgren. He will not have to
worry much about protection this week,
either, as Carolina has been horrible on
the pass rush, generating just 12 sacks
all year and not one last week.
NFL Free Pick:
The nine points needed to
cover this NFL betting odds spread for
the Seahawks in this game may seem like
a lot for a road team, but, again, playing
in Carolina is like playing at home for
everyone but the 49ers.
