NFL Wagering: Carolina Panthers (-10) vs. Green Bay Packers (+10)
Packers listed
as 10-point favorites versus the Panthers
Games Total
- (over/under) - 37½
So, why do I get
the feeling that this is one of those games
where, even though every single trend says
that the Packers should romp, the bad team
is going to come up big?
The Packers
are, in my mind, probably the most complete
team in the NFC. I say that because I’m not sold on the
Cowboys’ defense while the Packers’ D
has shown me a thing or two this year.
They shut-down
Adrian Peterson last week when the rest
of the NFL, so far, can’t
even tough him. They also play very good
pass defense as cornerback Al Harris for
the Packers is one of the more underrated
corners in the league.
The trends say Packers all day all night.
Check these trends out:
The Green Bay Packers are 8-1-1 against
the spread in their last 10 games overall.
The Green Bay Packers are 8 and 3 against
the spread versus a team with a losing
record.
It appears
that since the Pack-Attack is at home,
the Panthers don’t have
much of a chance. But, there’s something
that just keeps eating me about this game.
The Packers have been playing at a very
high level pretty much since the beginning
of the season while the Panthers have slowly
declined in their level of play from week
to week.
Also, the Panthers will be starting Matt
Moore, from Oregon State, undrafted, claimed
off waivers just recently, in place of
the over-forty Vinny Testaverde who is
questionable in this game. David Carr,
who was supposed to provide insurance for
the Panthers, is also hurt.
Yep, everything is going against the Panthers
in this game which is why I like them to
beat this spread.
Did you just read what you thought you
read? Yes, friends, you certainly did!
I do like Carolina to beat the 10 point
spread because I believe that the Green
Bay Packers are due for a let-down.
Unless you are the New England Patriots
it is virtually impossible to play at the
same level week in and week out in the
NFL. The coaches are too smart, the defenses
are too good, and the talent level is too
close. Just ask the New Orleans Saints
who dropped one to the St. Louis Rams last
week after winning 4 in a row.
The BetUS line is Carolina Panthers +
10 against the spread on the road versus
the Green Bay Packers.

out a way to keep this game close. Take
the Panthers and the points.
