NFL Wagering - Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints
While the
Philadelphia Eagles have been officially
eliminated from the postseason, the New
Orleans Saints need to win their final
two contests to have any hope of securing
a spot in the playoffs – and
that begins with a victory over Philadelphia.
New Orleans however, will be facing a
feisty Eagles team that recorded a convincing
win over the Dallas Cowboys on the road
last week.
The Saints are looking for their third
consecutive win in this matchup and are
coming off a solid win over the Arizona
Cardinals, 31-24 last week. Quarterback
Drew Brees is back to looking like a perennial
Pro-Bowler after completing 26 of 30 passes
for 315 yards and two touchdowns.
Philadelphia,
(6-8 SU, 7-7 ATS, 6-8 O/U), also has
some off-field problems as starting quarterback
Donovan McNabb recently went on record
to say he doesn’t feel
very loved by the Eagles franchise, not
to mention the thousands and thousands
of fair-weather Eagles fans in the tri-state
area.
Philadelphia is ranked 8th in overall
offense, averaging 350.2 yards and 20.1
points per game and ninth in overall defense,
holding opponents to 311.8 yards and just
19.1 points per game.
The New Orleans Saints, (7-7 SU, 6-8 ATS,
8-6 O/U) are ranked 5th in overall offense,
averaging 359.3 yards and 23.6 points per
game and 27th in overall defense allowing
347.1 yards and 22.6 points per game.
