Bet on NFL: Home Dogs Week 9
Week nine
features the most hyped game ever as
the New England Patriots head to Indianapolis
to face the Colts. The Indianapolis Colts
are just one of five home dogs – let’s
see which of them can bark.
Washington Redskins @ New York Jets (+4.5)
Boy, has the season soured for the New
York Jets. It's only been a year and a
half but it looks like a number of players
have already turned on Eric Mangini. The
last saving grace might be the move to
Kellen Clemens - a move that he himself
may not have wanted to make. Mangini emphasized
a number of times that Clemens wasn't in
the plans for this year, and then all of
the sudden made the switch. The Redskins
should be pissed off after getting stomped
last week, but that doesn't necessarily
translate into a win. They are on back-to-back
road games and might be a little tired.
Even so, the Jets are at their lowest point
right now.
NFL Betting Free Pick: Washington -4.5
Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills
The Cincinnati Bengals season basically
ended last week so it will be interesting
to see how they perform this week. They
are already short on leadership and character
so facing more adversity is not something
that is advisable. Buffalo, on the other
hand, should get an offensive boost with
J.P. Losman starting on Sunday. The Bills
passing game should come back to life with
Losman playing like he has nothing to lose
- since the pressure is off of him - expect
a solid offensive performance by the Bills.
They are a tough team to beat at home.
See: Baltimore, Dallas.

San Diego Chargers @ Minnesota Vikings
+7.5
The San Diego Chargers are rolling and
have had a drastic turnaround mostly because
their opponents are handing them wins.
The Chargers are confident on offense and
they keep getting interceptions or fumbles
that continuously re-energize their team.
Playing the Minnesota Vikings, who are
set to start Tarvaris Jackson this week,
should be no different. Sure, the Vikings
have a stellar run defense but that won't
mean much when they get stuck in the mud
moving the ball on offense. Look for the
Chargers to roll again.
Pick: San Diego -7.5
New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts
+6.5
While most people are expecting a shootout,
look for a tight-knit game between two
familiar foes. The Colts will go on long,
time-consuming drives to keep the Patriots
offense off the field while the Pats will
do likewise. For the Colts, they know that
they can't play the AFC Championship game
in New England and if they lose this game,
that will likely be their fate. Unfortunately,
the Pats are just too hot to go against
right now.
NFL Betting Free Pick: New England -6.5
Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Terrell Owens returns to Philadelphia
to face Philadelphia. A year ago, this
would have been the most anticipated game
of the week. The Eagles are hitting their
stride and in the NFC, everyone still has
a shot to make the playoffs. Their offense
is gelling while their defense is getting
healthy. The Cowboys haven't looked particularly
impressive in their last three games (@BUF,
NE, MIN) and have to be focused to avoid
any decline. For the Eagles, their season
is basically done if they don't win this
game so expect them to play like that.
