Football Betting - NFL Home Dogs Week 12
Of five home
dogs last week, only one was able to
bark. The New York Jets stunned the Pittsburgh
Steelers and won outright as 10.5 dogs.
Let’s look forward
to Week 12:
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions (+4)
The Green
Bay Packers are definitely the stronger
team here but the Detroit Lions don’t
lose very often at home. They did last
week as Jon Kitna threw two costly interceptions
(only one being his fault) last in the
fourth quarter to kills the Lions chance.
This week for Detroit, it is do or die.
If they fall and slip to 6-5 their playoff
hopes will drift away. To be frank, they
need this game more than Green Bay does.

Indianapolis Colts @ Atlanta Falcons (+14)
The wheels
have been coming off of the Atlanta Falcons
bus for a while now. On Thanksgiving,
they are 14-point dogs to the Indianapolis
Colts. It’s hard
to lay that many points with the Colts
right now, given all of their injuries.
They squeaked by the Kansas City Chiefs
last week, who started a rookie quarterback
on the road. The Atlanta Falcons, for all
their problems, are somewhat competitive
as long as they don’t turn the ball
over.

Tennessee Titans @ Cincinnati Bengals
(+1.5)
Not many
teams in the NFL lose back-to-back home
games and I don’t expect the
Bengals to be one of them. The Tennessee
Titans defense was exposed a bit on Monday
night and now on a short week, travel on
the road again. Carson Palmer had an awful
game last week and the likelihood of that
happening two weeks in a row is unlikely.

Seattle Seahawks @ St. Louis Rams (+3)
The Seattle Seahawks have woken up over
the past two weeks as Mike Holmgren is
following the pattern of his former team,
the Green Bay Packers, and focusing on
the pass and ignoring the run. Now that
the Seahawks are being productive on offense,
their defense is spending less time on
the field. This week they are in tough
against the St. Louis Rams, who have regained
their confidence off of a bye week. Their
win in San Francisco last week is more
credible than it looks.
NFL Free Picks: St. Louis +3
New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers
(+3)
It’s hard to take any points with
the Carolina Panthers. They are not moving
the ball on offense at all and are putting
their defense in position to fail consistently.
The Panthers have yet to win at home this
season and have won all four of their games
on the road. The Saints are nothing spectacular
themselves, but against a team that simply
can’t score, should be able to win
by more than a field goal.
