Wisconsin
got the job done for me – unfortunately
the same could not be said for Auburn,
who were undressed in Georgia.
Record: 20-7 (+1920)
Missouri Tigers (-300) @ Kansas State
Wildcats
Normally
I don’t like laying juice
on a favorite moneyline on the road but
Missouri is on a roll right now. Kansas
State was just stomped by Nebraska and
also lost to Iowa State prior to that.
They’ve lost three of their last
four and are headed in the opposite direction
of Missouri. This game will probably be
close off the bat and Missouri might even
have to fight to stay in it if they are
looking ahead to their big matchup with
Kansas next week. At the end of the day,
I’ll trust they get the job done.
Free Pick: Missouri -300
Iowa State Cyclones @ Kansas Jayhawks
(-3000)
Kansas hung
70+ on Nebraska, Nebraska hung 70+ on
Iowa State. That doesn’t
bode well for the Cyclones, who head to
Kansas this week. Kansas still isn’t
getting the love they deserve but they
better be focused on what is in front of
them instead of what is ahead of them.
Next week they head to Missouri, which
will obviously have not only Big 12 but
BCS implications on the line. But Kansas
has been a blue collar team that hasn’t
lost focus at any point this season. They’ll
handle the Cyclones this week.
Free Pick: Kansas -3000
Idaho Vandals @ Boise State Broncos (-10000)
Making up
for the short price I’m
paying for the first favorite, there is
a tall glass of juice here. The Broncos
are on a collision course with the Hawaii
Warriors for the WAC title while Idaho
is one of the worst football programs around – and
I’m including high school and Canadian
university programs. Boise State plays
well on their blue field and I’m
comfortable taking them here – even
with that type of juice.
Free Pick: Boise State -10000
LSU Tigers (-1600) @ Mississippi Rebels
This is a
pretty historic rivalry between the Tigers
and Rebels but the Rebels are simply
overmatched talent-wise in this contest.
The Tigers have handled the rigors of
a very difficult SEC schedule and as
long as they avoid making mistakes on
the road, they should be fine. Mississippi
should be in this game for a half, especially
since it is a home contest, but LSU needs
to win – and win big – so that
the Oregon-for-BCS argument remains a weak
one.
Free Pick: LSU (-1600)
