NCAAF Betting - Papajohns.com Bowl Southern Mississippi vs. Cincinnati
The story in
this game is Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly.
Expect Kelly to get a few calls this year,
after this bowl game, about potential openings.
Michigan just got their coach in Rich Rodriguez.
So, that’s one opening
that Kelly won’t be in the running
for.
Hmm, you gotta believe that WVU may be looking
at Kelly to take over their program. Would
they actually do that the Bearcats who lost
a tough one to West Virginia this year? Of
course the Mountaineers would! But, before
they do that, they will, no doubt, let Kelly
coach the Bearcats in this bowl game.
Believe it or not, the Golden Eagles and
the Bearcats have a history. These teams
have met seventeen times with the Golden
Eagles winning five out of the past seven
meetings. The most recent meeting was in
2004. That game should have absolutely no
bearing on this one.
Instead, take a look at these college football
betting trends:
The Cincinnati Bearcats are 8-2-1 against
the spread in their last 11 games overall.
The Southern
Mississippi Golden Eagles are
1 and 4 against the spread in their last
five games versus a team with a winning record.
The Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles are
0 and 7 against the spread in their last
7 games as an UNDERDOG
This is all
over but the shouting in my mind. The eleven
points seem like a lot, but in reality
it’s meaningless. The
Southern Mississippi Eagles don’t have
a single game on their schedule that is close
to the Bearcats tough game versus the West
Virginia Mountaineers.
Not only that,
but Bearcats’ coach
Brian Kelly installed a winning attitude
from day one into this Bearcats team. They
will come out with the idea of crushing the
Golden Eagles and should do so fairly easily.
This should be one of those lop-sided bowl
games that college football fans hate to
watch but that college football bettors love
to wager on. The Bearcats all day in this
one.
The BetUS NCAA
frootball betting line is Cincinnati Bearcats – 11
against the spread in the Papajohns.com
bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
I love the Bearcats in this game. They are
one of the most likeliest teams during the
2007 bowl season to cover the spread.
