NCAAB Wagering - Massachusetts (6-2) at Boston College (7-1)
BetUS: The
Commonwealth of Massachusetts is set for a
huge collegiate matchup tonight as the University
of Massachusetts takes on cross-town rivals,
Boston College in a nationally televised contest.
UMass, (5-2 ATS, 5-2 O/U) to move to 7-2
for the second consecutive year in a row
after going 24-9 last season and enters this
contest coming off a solid 83-68 win over
Marist on Saturday.
Boston College,
(4-2 ATS, 4-2 O/U) has looked very solid
since opening night and comes into this
matchup off a thrilling 81-78 win at Maryland
on Sunday night to open their ACC schedule.
BC’s only loss of the
season came to former Big East foe Providence
on Dec. 1, a 98-89 defeat in overtime.
UMass is sixth in the nation in scoring,
averaging a whopping 88.6 points per game
and is also one of just four teams in the
nation with two players in the Top 50 NCAA
scoring leaders with Gary Forbes standing
26th with a 21.0 average and Ricky Harris,
47th with a 19.6 per game average.
Junior guard Tyrese Rice leads the Eagles
in scoring, averaging 20.9 points per game,
but is shooting just .40 percent from the
field. BC also has three other players that
average in double figures in scoring.

Analysis: I
know UMass is running-and-gunning their
opponents into submission so far this season
with their new, up-tempo offense, but Boston
College will likely be the Minutemen’s
toughest test to date. Although I’m
taking the Eagles to win this game, I fully
expect Massachusetts to cover the 5-point
spread – with a chance of winning outright.
Take the Minutemen to cover on the road hoops
ncaab bettors.
