NBA Free Picks - Orlando Magic at Chicago Bulls
BetUS: What
a difference a year makes huh?
Coming into
the 2007-08 season, the general consensus
was that the Chicago Bulls, (10-17 SU,
8-19 ATS, 13-14 O/U), would be one of the
few legitimate contenders to win the eastern
conference title while the Orlando Magic,
(21-11 SU, 23-9 ATS, 16-16 O/U) even after
acquiring free agent forward Rashard Lewis,
were expected to be a middle-of-the-pack
team that was still a couple of years – and
players – away from really being competitive.
Well, that
scenario has been thrown out the window
with the Bulls’ dismal start –and
Orlando’s equally surprising strong
start to the season.
Now, the team’s
face each other tonight with totally different
agendas on their respective itineraries.
Orlando is 6-4 in its last 10 contests and
has won three straight coming into this affair,
including a 104-95 win over the Charlotte
Bobcats on Saturday.
The Bulls, on the other hand, are just looking
to build some continuity after having won
consecutive games for the first time all
season, (though they beat two patsies in
New York and Milwaukee).
Chicago is averaging a league-low 91.9 points,
but they've scored at least 100 over the
Bucks and Knicks in their last two wins and
shot 50 percent from the field for just the
third time this season in beating New York
100-83 on the road on Sunday.
Orlando beat Chicago two out of three times
last season.
Here is a look
at tonight’s Key Trends,
followed by my NBA Betting Free Picks:
Key Magic Trends
The Magic are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games
as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5.
The Magic are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road
games vs. a team with a losing home record.
The Magic are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games
as a road favorite.
Key Bulls Trends
The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games
vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
The Bulls are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17
vs. NBA Southeast.
The Bulls are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games
as a home underdog of 0.5-4.5.
Key Head-to-Head Trends
The Over is 7-1 in Magic last 8 road games
vs. a team with a losing home record.
The Under is 5-1 in Magic last 6 games as
a road favorite.
The Over is 5-0 in Bulls last 5 games as
an underdog of 0.5-4.5.
The Under is 5-0 in Bulls last 5 vs. a team
with a winning S.U. record.
Key Totals Trends
The Under is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings
in Chicago.
The Magic are 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings.
The Road team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
Analysis: While
the Bulls have looked pretty good their
last two games, let’s not
forget they were facing the disappointing
Milwaukee Bucks and dismal New York Knicks.
Still, something tells me that the Bulls
will cover the spread against the league’s
best ATS team tonight – with the likelihood
of winning outright being a very real scenario.
Take the Bulls to cover while picking up
a win over a quality team.
