NBA Betting Trends - Utah Jazz at San Antonio Spurs
BetUS: The
San Antonio Spurs may be without the foundation
of their franchise in superstar power forward
Tim Duncan, but lest anyone forget, the team
still has two all-star players in Tony Parker
and Manu Ginobili and numerous intelligent
veterans in players like Bruce Bowen, Michael
Finley and Fabricio Oberto.
The Spurs,
(16-3 SU, 10-9 ATS, 13-6 O/U), enter this
contest having won four straight games,
including Wednesday’s home matchup
against the Dallas Mavericks in which Ginobili
scored a season-high 37 points and handed
out six assists to lead the Spurs to a 97-95
win without Duncan who is going to be a game-time
decision for tonight’s contest.
The Utah Jazz
fell to the Spurs in five games in last
season’s western conference
finals, but have come back this year with
renewed vigor this season.
Utah, (13-6 SU, 10-9 ATS, 13-6 O/U), is
ranked fourth in scoring, averaging 107.1
points per game while leading the league
in field goal percentage at 49.4 percent.
All-star power forward Carlos Boozer leads
the Jazz in scoring and rebounding, averaging
24.9 points and 11.4 boards per game but
it is blossoming third-year point guard Deron
Williams who makes the Jazz go with his 19.8
points and 8.9 assists per game. The Jazz
are coming into this game off a dismal 117-107
loss to the Sacramento Kings Tuesday night.
Here is a look
at tonight’s key trends,

The Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last five
vs. Western Conference.
The Jazz are 3-7 ATS in their last ten Friday

games.

The Spurs are 7-0 ATS in their last seven
when their opponent scores 100 points or
more in their previous game.
The Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four
games overall.
The Spurs are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight
Friday games.

vs. a team with a home winning percentage
of greater than .600.
The Over is 5-0 in Jazz last five after
scoring 100 points or more in their previous
game.
The Over is 6-1 in Spurs last seven vs.
a team with a winning S.U. record.
The Over is 4-1 in Spurs last five vs. NBA
Northwest.
Key Head-to-Head Trends
The Over is 4-0 in the last four meetings
in San Antonio.
The Favorite is 6-0 ATS in the last six
meetings.
The Home team is 9-1 ATS in the last ten
meetings.
Analysis: The
Spurs are undefeated at home this season,
but I’m going with the
Utah Jazz to hand them their first home loss
of the season tonight while bouncing back
from their nearly defenseless loss to the
Kings on Tuesday. If the Jazz can’t
beat a Spurs team that may not have Duncan
at all or one who is less than 100 percent,
it certainly doesn’t bode well for
their chances of beating the Spurs in the
postseason. Take the Jazz to surprise the
Spurs tonight in this ‘Pick ‘em.’
