Two and a
half points? Are you joking? Seattle
literally crushed the Buccaneers last
week until their key players bowed out
of the game. Arizona found another way
to lose to lose another close game as
Arnaz Battle – of all people! – killed
Arizona in the final moments of the game.
Seattle looked solid on defense and Shaun
Alexander was steady in helping amass 139
total rushing yards for the Seahawks. The
Cardinals rush defense is far more permeable
than the Bucs, and Holmgren will use Alexander
to keep Leinart off the field and control
the clock.
Matt Leinart was throwing against a tough
secondary and was mediocre at best with
102 yards, one touchdown and two huge picks,
including one that ended the match. While
Leinart will have a better game, the Seattle
front seven will terrorize him as they
overwhelm an underwhelming-ly attended
Arizona offensive line.
Seattle is a far better football team
than Arizona. As much as I like the chance
the Cards offense has this week, there
is no way any smart NFL betting investor
should place their money in the hands of
the awful Arizona defense and secondary.
