Reviews
Sunday, October 7th --- FedEx Field, Washington --- 1:00pm EST
The Lions are a tough team to figure out
because they can get absolutely demolished
by a terrible Philadelphia Eagles team
one week, and then turn around and smack
around the Chicago Bears 37-27. The Redskins
defense will be much tougher for Jon Kitna
to throw against. That entire secondary
is ball hungry, but they will be facing
a quartet of very talented receivers led
by Roy Williams.
The key for
the Redskins will be getting the ball
into the hands of Clinton Portis and
Ladell Betts. The offensive line has
done a great job of opening up gaps as
Washington averages 134.3 yards per game
on the ground. Look for more of the same
as they go up against Detroit’s 17th
ranked rush defense.
As much as Detroit is a fun team to bet
on, they are streaky and untrustworthy.
This Redskins team really knows how to
take care of business and Jason Campbell
is doing a fine job of commanding the offense.
The front four for Detroit will frustrate
the Redskins at times, but Gibbs is too
close-minded to take his foot of the pedal
of the rushing attack. Clinton Portis will
be the difference in an entertaining game
that will put the unheralded Redskins in
to the public eye of the betting community.
