ladies and gentlemen, to the Kellen Clemens
and Kyle Boller show! New York got tooled
by the Patriots, while the Ravens coughed
up six turnovers in a tight loss to the
Bengals. The Ravens are a better team
than the way they played, and Boller
can not be blamed for the loss. Even
if McNair is good to go, he looked like
a senile grandpa on the field and can’t
be trusted at his age and with all that
rust clogging the gears.
Clemens looked
solid in the preseason, but the Ravens
defense will test him early and often.
They were very good against the high-octane
offense of the Bengals, and the Jets
don’t have nearly as
much punch. Thomas Jones couldn’t
get going against the Pats, who held him
to 42 yards, and the Ravens won’t
afford him much space either.
Willis McGahee
is convincing nobody as of right now.
Luckily, he has Musa Smith to spell him.
As much as the Ravens were unspectacular
in their season debut, the Jets looked
a lot worse and Clemens is in no way,
shape or form, worthy of investing your
NFL betting dollars as a savior. But
don’t bet on Baltimore running
away with the score either.
