On This Game At Betus Sportsbook -
There is really no trend to look at regarding
this game. But, in order to support my
pick, I will discuss one trend that actually
means a lot more than what the average
NFL bettor might think.
First, let's be honest about the Chicago
Bears. Forget about everything that you
have read or heard so far this year. The
quarterback problems aside, that Bears'
defense just isn't what it was last year.
Now, maybe offensive coordinators have
found out what to defend against. Maybe
the injuries have taken their toll. I,
for one, think that the problems with the
Bears' D are that the schedule is much
tougher this year and that they are just
too small. They get tired in the second
half of games and that causes them to give
up longer plays than they did last year.
With Cedric Benson running like a girl-scout
pushing cookies, the offense can't chew
up time. That has exposed the Bears' D
to what all teams get exposed to eventually
- - getting tired by tough running backs
and smart offensive coordinators.
Okay, so now, were done with the Bears.
Here's The Football Betting Trend:
Trend: Over is 16-5-1 in the Chicago Bears
last 22 games vs. the NFC.
Why is this trend important? First, it
means that the Bears defense is overrated
when it comes to playing against fellow
NFC opponents. They give up points anyways.
Now, they have to play Green Bay.
Here's a trend for Green Bay that supports
them whipping the Bears:
Trend: Under is 10-3-1 in their last 14
versus NFC North opponents.
What this tells us is that Green Bay always
plays their NFC North opponents tough.
They did this towards the end of last year
and did on the road just this past Sunday
versus the Minnesota Vikings.
The final nail in the Bears' coffin? Brett
Favre. Favre always plays the Bears tough.
That's his thing: Beating the Bears.
The NFL Football
betting odds: Green Bay –3.5
against the spread.
Free Pick: Green
Bay covers easily in this one.
